Cory McCallum was the project manager for the demolition of an existing residence and the construction of our new home on Lake Austin. First, we would like to state that the project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. From the beginning and throughout the project, Cory was a delight to deal with. His calm and attentive manner ensured all interactions were enjoyable, productive and efficient. He was able to insulate us from any challenges resulting from work done by the numerous sub-contractor teams working our home. Additionally, he was able to work well with the sub-contractors that we personally selected from previous experience.

Given the duration of our project, we especially appreciated the way Cory interacted with us. Important to us is the fact that Cory is responsive. He promptly returns calls, and consistently fulfills commitments. When necessary, he also provides advance notice of a timeline change. Communication with the client is one of Cory’s key strengths. Equally important is Cory’s attention to, and patience with, detail.

The final fit and finish work actually determines the impression of the project. In this aspect, Cory demonstrated constant attention to the finish details, staying focused until work was completed to our satisfaction. Given the volume of unique and customized details in our home, this was an important and appreciated talent. Cory appeared to work well with the sub-contractors supporting the project. Cory has high standards and expectations and he places these on the subs that he utilizes. He does not hesitate to take a strong stand to ensure that work is done correctly and on time. And, if necessary, Cory is willing and able to replace any sub-contractor if work is not proceeding as expected. We highly recommend Cory McCallum and look forward to a time in the future when we can call on his skills for another project!

I can highly recommend Cory McCallum as a contractor to consider when building a new home or remodeling an existing home. I have worked with Cory on both and he exhibits all of the skills which are required to successfully complete a project on time and within budget. First of all he is a good listener and reads the specifications for the project thoroughly. He is organized and takes the specifications and puts them in to bid form which insures all areas of the project are covered. He has always, in my experience, been accessible by phone. He employs qualified subcontractors and keeps the job site clean, orderly and safe. Best of all, he sets reasonable time lines for projects, stays on schedule and completes within the time frame he set. This is not typical of all contractors and is a large part of the reason I enjoy working with him and would not hesitate to refer him to others.

Also, I am impressed with his knowledge of Green Building techniques and his determination to become an expert in the field of Green and Sustainable building practices. This knowledge and expertise will serve him well.
